Welcome to the Schalwitz Construction Company Website.

My name is Richard Schalwitz, I am a General Contractor and Owner of Schalwitz Construction Company.

I have been building projects in San Luis Obispo County, Ca, Santa Barbara County, Ca and Kauai, Hi, since the early 1970’s. I still live in the first Custom Home that my wife and I built in 1972. Projects that I have done include high quality Custom Homes, large and small Home Remodeling jobs, Steel Buildings,  Commercial Tenant Improvements, Fire and Flood Damage Repair, Seismic Retrofits  and  a Fire Watch Tower Rehab.
I and my son Josh believe that if a job is worth doing,  it’s worth doing well. Fair pricing, quality work and a good attitude, make doing a project with us a more enjoyable experience.

–No charge for most bids.
